Manufactura Pictures is dedicated to the production of fiction and documentary films, as well as performing arts projects. The company was founded on December 23rd 2020 by Yann Tonnar.
Yann founded Manufactura Pictures as a logical step from starting as a director, to getting more and more involved with supervising productions, and coaching other directors and scriptwriters into fulfilling their own vision. Amongst others as the creative producer of the tv series routwäisssgro, involving twenty different directors, and producing 72 half-hour episodes in three seasons and five years.
Since 2020 Manufactura has produced several documentary films commissioned by ARTE, in co-production with France and Germany, is developing a number of fiction projetcs (short, feature and series) in collaboration with Luxembourgish directors and writers, and produced commissioned work for various artists and institutions.
From 2010 to 2020 Yann served as the secretary general of the Luxembourg Association of Film Directors and Scriptwriters, and since 2019 is the president of the Luxembourg Film Academy.
Since 2024 he is the chair of the newly created Federation of Film Academies Europe (FACE), uniting all film academies from Europe.
